Free Rugby ticket

Allow me to tell you a tale of sadness. I recently bought 2 tickets for Harlequins v Leicester at The Stoop next Saturday (23rd) for me and a friend. Unfortunately my friend has to go to go some fancy party with his missus and all my other friends are either busy or just don't like rugby. The upshot is that I have a spare ticket going if anyone fancies joining me. It cost me £20 but I'd happily let someone have it in return for buying me a pint. Any takers? Kick off is at 6.15pm....

Sadly I'm almost certainly moving middle daughter back to Uni that day.

Otherwise I'd have been up for it.

Normally I'd jump at the chance, but I've accepted an invitation to a friend's house to watch the game in boozy style with a bunch of other blokes (mostly Quins fans).

However, when Bristol come calling at the Stoop I may well be there.

This is all most disappointing. I suppose I'll just have to watch Tom Varndell haring up the left wing on my lonesome...

All you have to hope is that Varndell isn't asked to tackle anybody.

Oh, hold on.

Quins?

Unlikely they will even get the ball!

Sorry I can't join you but I will still be celebrating a famous victory at Edgley Park the night before.

(Its tough 'oop north.)

Why not chance your arm and e-mail the lovely Ms. Bruce at BBC News? She may be looking for something to do that evening.......

Or offer the lovely Blondie a solution that will mean she does not have to go home that night .........
