I just thought that I'd tell people who don't know about Facebook; it's just been opened to everyone, and there's a growing OB presence there (check out the group Old Blues). I'm there as csca2@cantab.net for a start, but am feeling quite old as I'm sure is Eric Gimber...

Anyone who knows me is welcome to come to a housewarming party on Saturday 14th in Royston! - PM me if you're interested.

Yeah, a friend network thing; It's v good for sharing photos with, as you can link to people by clicking on their face on the photo (hence the name of the site). It's not good as a work site though; I guess just like this forum!

oh so Christian has a Faygate accent?

Hmm, on the subject of Faygate, what happened to the station? The trains used to stop there but I've been down to Horsham a couple of times in the last few days, and no Faygate. What's happening?

Sorry have i gone off topic???

I think they still stop there, but it's only ever been two random trains a day at most.

A number of the trains from Victoria don't even go past it IIRC

Yeah, they did once upon a thyme, but before I started using trains...

Yup - my family can trace it's ancestry way back in Faygate & Colgate; Carylls farm in Faygate was owned by my direct grandparents, and you can play an interesting game of 'spot the Ashbys' in St. Saviour's churchyard...

Mum and I moved to Horsham in 94, just after the 'Foygoite' annoying ch teasing had started...

Is that not the dragon of the forest?

And as for Faygate station - I have only ever once been on a train that stopped there!
