Do you think NASA should go back to the Moon?

I personally can't wait to see mankind back on the Moon. I know people will shout about problems here on Earth, Africa, schools, hospitals etc etc. But I think it is in our nature to explore and we have to start somewhere.

I wonder what happened to the original studio they used to film the moon landings. Personally the only reason we have for going to the moon is to use it a stopover en route to Venus. I envisge it'll be a sort of lunar motorway services where one can stop for a quick go on some fruit machines and an over-priced cup of tea. I guarantee Starbucks will have a couple of outlets there in thirty years time.

I remember reading a book called 'this place has no atmsphere' about a teenager who was gorwing up on the moon as that you could live there if you wanted! I always thought when i grew up i would be able to....no apparently I am a grown up and I cant

I think it's very exciting - and remember NASA's budget is only a fraction of what the US spends on its attack (sorry I mean defence) budget...

Do you remember McD being sued for selling their coffee too hot? The "true" (or so they claim) story of that infamous trial is on the web somewhere.

That is why Starbucks want to look (and taste) cool, man. Eat a lump of ice before you go in and their coffee will feel hot.

I detect a microbe of disbelief in a few replies as to whether or not we ever went to the Moon in the first place. Yes, I have read the articles and seen the tv programmes about 'fake' photographs and lens crosses appearing behind astronauts etc etc. But I have also read independent articles that show all these allegations to be totally false. There was no tv studio, no cover-up. It was even calculated by some guy somewhere that the cost to NASA to fool the entire planet for 30 odd years would far outstrip the cost of the actual missions.
Twelve men have walked on the Moon. The truth is out there.
