Trouble Posting into the Forum

If you are reading this and can reply then you have probably had no problem, but for the past few weeks I have been unable to post on the forum.

I primarily use Firefox and thought it may have been related to a recent update.

I contacted Julian who suggested I clear the cache and also the cookies. No good. Surprisingly, when I entered the site I was asked to log on. At that time I could see that I was not a registered user. Despite logging on, I still got the log on screen but could not post, although I now appeared as a registered user.

Frustration.

I also have IE7 installed so I tried this. Same procedure but still no luck. In both cases if I tried to post I got a message indicating that what I had done was inadmissible and to try re-posting.
Cleared cache and cookies, and then had occasional luck, but eventually that also stopped.

Locked out again.

I also have AOL explorer installed and was surprised to see that I could post through this browser. Surprised because I believe AOL explorer just uses IE7, at least everything else including bookmarks is the same.

Weird, until I realised that I have Google accelerator installed, which works on Firefox and IE7, but apparently not on AOL Explorer.

Dis-activated it for access to the Forum and hey presto, I can post again.

Just thought you might like to know if anyone has Google Accelerator installed and is having a problem posting on the Forum

Absolutely no problems here, John.

I use bog-standard Microsoft equipment, though.

Internet explorer for me too.

Anything else is way beyond somebody only capable of grade 6 physics with chemistry O level back in 1969!

I use Firefox and connect by broadband.

When the recent update was installed it cut out my password for broadband. 12 hours later the password suddenly corrected itself and I could connect.

I use the ordinary Google icons, not accellerator (whatever that is)
