Cleaner codes on the tube

Anyone here been on the tube in London and heard announcements for the cleaner to go to a certain platform? They are always given a code, "i.e. could the cleaner please go to platform 3 for a code 5". Does anyone know what these codes mean?

So far I've only heard 3 or 4 code numbers being called but I suspsect there are between 6 and 8. I suppose some relate to minor spillages of beverages, steadily becoming more serious until they eventually graduate to bodily fluids and corpses. Please let's get to the bottom of these secret signals!

Imagine some of the stuff they must find. My children (and husband!) can be fairly disgusting at times, but multiply that by millions and the mind boggles.

At least they are looking after their staff. Does digital safety refer to compulsory glove-wearing?

I'll find out for you...

I know that if they call for Inspector Sands, there has been a 'disturbance' I believe...

I know in Tesco code 5 in the warehouse just means they need someone to open the door for a delivery.

Inspector Sands is the standard message used to inform staff that some kind of situation is being investigated and that they should be prepared to get out if it's serious. It could be anything from a fire to a bomb to a group of rowdy kids.

In Waitrose at canary wharf 'section heads to zone B' meant a bomb threat had been received, and we lucky people got given areas to search
Evacuation point=McDonalds :P
