.................... SUMMER !

Here I am. Sunday morning and up fairly early to go to Woking for a Youth Summer Football Tournament.

One would expect to be going in shorts and taking sun-block !

Am I ??

NAH !!!!

Wellies. Full length Chelsea FC Stadium Coat and umbrella.

There'll be a hose-pipe ban next week. Just you wait and see !

...and at the time of year when the days are lighter for longer we always get cr@p weather and can`t make the most of them!
Perhaps Glastonbury and Wimbledon are to blame :?:

Well, I'm back and have dried out !

Strange affair, where the Under 13's lost the first three games straight and had to have some fire put into the bellies. Games four and five were a transformation where they thrashed the opposition, then lost the play-off for the third/fourth place.

Another busy evening. Off to West London shortly, then tomorrow, I have to travel to Guildford, (TWICE).

Well, I'm back from the first trip, which started at 5:50 am this morning. Fair weather, but then I was driving.

Clouding up now and the forecast for Wimbledon is pretty bl00dy so I don't relish the next bus trip to Guildford at lunch-time.

Meterologically, this is known as the 'June Monsoon'...

so what happened to "flaming June"?
Or perhaps it`s only known as that because that`s what we say about it?!?

Now that Wimbledon has just about heaved itself into life, we can be assured of a fortnight of rain and pestilential floods of locusts and such-like.
Come on, Tim!

But think how much better this is for your skin. You will just be rusty instead of tanned.

We'll be green with mould and mildew soon if we don't get the chance to dry out!

I am already developing webbed feet, and my joints creak...
on the other hand, the garden looks like a jungle as I refuse to mow the lawn in the rain... neighbour's big white moggy is enjoying it and hunting pigeons with glee !

Never mind, have just booked summer hols - 2 weeks in Domincan Republic beginning of September, so I will see SOME sun this summer...
