..... a spare snorkel and pair of swimming fins !
Torrential rain started here in Surrey before dawn.
It is now 11:15. Our patio is flooded to a depth of three inches and just short of the patio doors.
The police have shut off the lower end of our road coz the drains can't cope and the water is over the pavements and into the front gardens !
Blazing July ?
Global warming !
BORROCKS !

The world is averaging itself out!
Increased rainfall = global warming.
Global warming is caused by chopping down rainforests = less water being put up into the atmosphere from the rain forests = less rainfall....
Increased rainfall = more water in the atmosphere = less water in the oceans = decreased sea level.
Increase temperature = less polar ice = increased sea level.
Increased diseases due to over population = more deaths = lower population...
Do they balance out?
Go figure!

Have just heard that because of the "inclement weather" now and what's to come, I'm no longer required at my Plant Centre job.
So a bit fed up.

There's always the golf to watch on the tele.
Weather doesn't seem so bad in Bonny Scotland.

I have never known rain like that in July...
Luckily, I was off work and so didn't have try and get back from London...
Apparently it was a mess up there - Victoria's roof gave up and there was around 3 inches of water on the concourse...
the trains were still messed up by the evening and one my friends left work at 5.30 in london but by 7 had only reached East Croydon...
My sister had a party at the school's cricket pavilion last night (I went to bed at CH at 4 and was in London for work by 9!) and we spent a good 30 minutes sweeping the water away into the drains. The patch outside must have been 2 inches deep in water!

Watch golf on the telly? What a hideous fate!
No, no, dear JR, there is the small question of earning some money....

Well, it seems a little better this morning. I suppose I'd better find out if DFC's first pre-season friendly is on or not !

Here's how the only road onto my estate looked last night:-
Had to leave the car up in the village and then wade down to the house. Fortunately house was fine, but made for an eventful return home at the end of a week's work.
At least the kids seemed to be enjoying it....
