Handbags at dawn

For any of us who have struggled selecting the name of the precious newborn or wondered what was in Posh and Becks's heads when they gifted their sons with their unique and very personal monikers (answer=Gucci sawdust), this nearly made me wet my pants with laughter. Not so much the serious requests for advice from image-obsessed parents, but the sharp and often barbed responses by the one with the handbag. My favourite is the Summer Banner post. Makes me think of John Smallcock who disliked his name so much that he changed it. To Robert Smallcock.

At least he was better off than his brother Ivor.

It was Arfur (they were a cockney family) I felt sorry for.
