Hope you all have a great time tonight. Sing lustily.
We are just back from the pre-school nativity, with Cora as a shepherd abiding in her field, and tonight is the turn of big sister giving it her all in the school carol concert in the church. It's all go now!

Have a great time tonight - hope it's as much fun as previous years.
Gutted I can't be there - work event with my team which I just can't miss.
Hopefully make it next year,
J

I don't believe either pink or lime green for the dress code. But I am not there either, having been in the thick of organisation of the Carol Concert these last two years. So I would be interested to know how things are progressing this year (as I type this, the Carol Concert started 35 minutes ago....)

I have just come in, and the church was much warmer than last year. we had a good bellow, well I didn't because I am at the coughy, catarrhy end of a cold. I went out half way through to have a cough and bumped into steve webb (who of course doesn't know me from Adam) coming in saying "has it started already?".
I said "It started at 6". Oops.

Hopefully was good...

About the same number as last year at a rough estimate. St Johns is rather squarer and light and bright so difficult to tell.
Not as many brass players but they were good as was the choir.
The organists (Linden and Claire) were superb.

I would have thought there were approx 50 less people this year. Noticeably less younger Old Blues...
The choir was of course excellent (I happened to be sitting next to Eastburn Junior so a lot of bellowing occured in eastern Monarchs...)
The organ was a little worse for wear and had no power at all (I know that both the Innes-Hopkins hated it)
It was a good night though!
Shame about the YOB drinks afterwards... the Firehouse was packed out so most people only stayed for a drink.
