Someone I knew was actually sent home for a week or two until it grew back!

First, yet another welcome Idgie (however you pronounce thatEruresto wrote:Oi, Matt! At least I have hair....
A few people dye their hair, but mostly black - as long as it's not too outlandish it's acceptable. With regards to TV, 9 isn't too late (you're a dep, bed is 10:45, lights out 11pm), more that it's 15 minutes too early (prep ends at 9:15) but if you build up a good record with prep being in on time etc, you could probably get away with it.

As for Josh's comment above I would recommend that you look at Gemma Gemmason's recent posts (and those of the several mothers on their thread) which in essence say that you will be so overloaded with social affairs, work and other social matters you won't have the energy for TV
Josh: you suggest that the last headmaster was not conservative enough:
Just think how you personally would have been if Big Pete had been conservative and not allowed EmperorsEruresto wrote:The new head is relatively conservative compared to Big Pete - and I say Good For Him

Re: Becomming a New Dep
If you dyed your hair a little lighter that would probably be acceptable. My best friends are both advocates of the perfect ginger hair dye, always trying o find the right shade, and no outlasndish colours are allowed at my school either.
betimes are a very troubling issue, what time do you usually crash out by? my favourite time is somewhere between 1am and 4am.

Mine's dark blonde, dyed blonde.Urgh-My-Pancreas wrote:do many other people dye their hair?
The new BBCiPlayer should remedy that situation completely so long as you've got the bandwidthUrgh-My-Pancreas wrote:another thought that came to me was about telly. This thought occurred when i was reminded that Torchwood is back again at 9:00 tonight!!!
i don't tend to watch telly that much normaly, but there are a certain few programes that i find unmissable (Doctor Who for example ), so i was wondering what the deal with TV is. If there was something on at a time like 9 would that be seen as too late? stuffs like that.
What did you think of the first episode?

Re: Becomming a New Dep
Of course I mean torchwood
Isn't he wonderful,
By the way, am I the only one who noticed CJH's line "Thirsty now" which I am 99.9% sure is a trademark line from Spike in BTVS???
I've watched episode one 3 times already

Torchwood - Doctor Who - Heroes - not really my thing. That said...
The grand designs theme tune makes a FANTASTIC ringtone! As does the BBC news theme tune.

Re: Becomming a New Dep
Well, I was a bit strange (ssh now!) because I lived at home for my first 6 years at CH as my parents work at the school (and live on site.)Urgh-My-Pancreas wrote:oh hurrah,Eruresto wrote: (you're a dep, bed is 10:45, lights out 11pm

I know that many deps stayed up in their studies once they went to bed and when I was a Grecian, I often stayed up until quite late in my study in house.... so I wouldn't worry too much about bed times...
