As an early morning waker, I usually listen to the Radio 4 farming programme, and was thrilled this morning to hear "Michael Scuffil in Germany" speaking about traditional methods of feeding pigs!

Of course I was excited to hear the voice of that well-known name, and Ferdinand (cat on duvet) began to purr. Your comments were very interesting, Michael. (It must have been the MS??)

Hoping for the success of the pig farmers marching on Downing Street today, anyway!

Actually this is my third mention on Farming Today. They seem to like me. I wrote a mail to Today recently, and John Humphrys said "We had this mail from a German professor... "

Angela, it wasn't my voice. It was some dull voice-over actor.

How many other celebrities have been represented by dull voice-over actors? No, I'm upset! Next time, you must insist on speaking directly to your listeners! I specially liked the bit about the acorns.
