What takes you down to the Marshes?

There's always the nuclear power station or the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway...

Would you stay in Leicester more than 4 years?! Pastures new init.

Like your fusion of nuclear and coal powered suggestions :-p don't think the railway will need many people its tiny, but your thinking in geographically the right area :-)

Waiting to hear back from Saga as it happens!

In the early 70's I was offered a job as Production Controller in Smith Industries in Hythe. I see they are still there masquerading under the name of

Smiths Medical International
Military road
Hythe
CT21 6JL

They are the only company I know in the area.

Good luck

Any more ideas?

There's a possible opening as an 'Insurance Technician', but the job description's fourth and fith words are, respectively, "boring" and "repetitive" :o !

A certain lower end supermarket seem very interested but can only offer part time, which just isn't going to cover the rent.

Get thinking!

Sandwich is a long old trek from the Marshes (does anyone remember seeing the Ham/Sandwich signpost?), though maybe not by Aussie standards! Though I do recall a few fellows making a happy few quid testing Viagra - sadly, I think that's all over now...

I used to live in the Dover-Folkestone area, Ben, and I hate to be negative, but I can't think of a good employment-based reason to move there right now.

However, I'm a great believer in 'where there's a will, there's a way'!

Had an interview, didn't get job because of something I told them right at the beginning, they still carried on interview/test for an hour, waited an hour an told me I hadn't got it. =waste of at least £30 in their wages, and more importantly my time.

may have something part time in hythe, find out friday.

fyi, it costs ~£1100 to move in to a £350/month flat when all fees included, hahahahaha, oh sh1t.

anyone in the money lending business?
