seriously that women has been the press far more often for bad things than positive things she has done as her job. Second home exspenses, husband claiming films on her exspenses!!!!! I think its about time she went somewhere well away from government

As an addition ----- Talking of claiming the kitchen sink----- the News (Radio 4) this morning announced that the afore-mentioned Lady HAD ----- at £500 for a Farmhouse stone sink
Of course with the present state of the £ this is probably equivalent to 5 Bob !
Could we find a smiley for "Doing my Nut " ?

Looks like Gordon is supporting her.
Which means:-
The HEAD of the Home Office dosen't check her expenses when she submits them
or worse still she does but isn't bothered whats on them.
Either way what example is it those who do thoroughly check expenses submitted!!!!! and presumably will cause a problem for any line managers in the Home office who need to question any of their staff about expenses claimed.
Well at least we now know where the buck doesn't stop.

Remember that other one - thrown out of the cabinet not once but twice. Then given a knighthood and given a nice milking job in Brussels before being brought back into the cabinet to milk us some more.
They don't care a damn whom they milk and I doubt if the head of the civil service would survive if he found an error in their expenses.
As for this G19 meeting (they're so stupid they don't know the difference between 19 and 20) why the hell should we pay when the whole thing could be done from their respective capitals by video-conferencing? Just milking us again. Make GB pay for it all out of salary and stop all his expenses.

Yes I DO remember "That other one" but I refrained --- with difficulty--- from making anny comments about him, since I fear I would be accused --- rightly,-- of being, --- you guessed it !
I loved Midgets comments about her Husband's health --- many wives are suffering from OUR apoplexy !

What i dont understand is...why do the rest of us have to work and use our own hard earned cash to pay for internet, phone lines and transport costs to get to work....yet MP's can claim it at all back for 'work purposes'. My fiance works from home two days a week and does not ask his employer to pay his internet because he is doing his job!!!
Also those mp's who have second homes despite living in London well thats just ridiculous!
Rant over ......

F... whatever enquiry. Anything adverse will be glossed over, anything unpleasant will mean that the enquiry will never see the light of day and some pliable erk will earn a fortune in expenses etc for doing nothing useful. It's just jobs for the boyos
SACK THE LOT OF THEM and BUY BITISH

And there's more.....
It now turns out that Geoff Hoon, Alistair Darling and Gordon Brown, who each have been/are entitled to free of charge 'grace and favour' homes (for GB and AD 2 each) have also continued to claim in full for their 'second homes' in their constituencies, no doubt including all those essential expenditures such as internet and sky+. While this is going on their previous 'main' residences in central London have been rented on the open market.
Cameron has jumped on the bandwagon, and said no more for the tories when they are in power.
And it has now been disclosed that Jacqui Smith claimed just over £500 for a 'kitchen sink' in her second home
Where can I sign up to be an MP?

Craig, --- don't even try !
You have no idea of the Dirty Tricks which obtain during Elections.
The Opposition ---- whoever that may be at the time ---spend a great deal of time delving into "Records" including those of your Parents and Ancestors, hunting for something embarrassing, which can be leaked (Without attribution of course !) to the (Appropriate ) Press.
None of this appears on the "Election Expenses Account, which is controlled according to the number of the Electorate.
Because, of course, it is done independently by " A Friend ", who has nothing ( ! ) to do with the Election.
Ours is a bad system ----- but it is better than most !
