I'm interested in knowing how many of the exisiting staff and why not past were pupils themselves at CH...

I guess onewestgucopse is one. Is Andy Williams still there? Jon Whitehouse?

Howard Holdsworth, for one (and I'm sure he's mentioned that himself), but why so interested?

Roger Martin from my time would qualify as "former" also Tony Waller not forgetting CME Seaman and Doctors Scott and Hoskins.

"Rip" Kirby still helped out with the signals in my time too although he was retired from teaching by then.

Just knocking around stats and all and was rather curious as in my graduating year (1984) there were 2 teachers who came
back: Williams and Whitehouse...

In my day, Seaman, Buck, Kirby and Dr Scott. Just before I left, there was someone called Collyer. And Roger Martin (I'inévitable) returned soon afterwards. And seven years after I left, I was invited to join the staff by David Newsome. I politely declined, so that's one to cross off your list.

Salisbury the Clerk (whom my generation first met as a young man organizing the entrance exam) was an OB.

Did my slightly older contemporary Tim Bryant not join the staff at some time?

I think there was a Deirdre Pallister in 2s, possibly the year below me??

Also the lovely Mrs Betterton, English teacher at Hertford until about 1972, who had been in 5s as Kathleen Baron - IIRC she left in about 1929.
