Anybody else following the tennis?

Murray is not as personable a young man as "Tiger Tim" was but I do feel that the anti English Scottish so and so has half a chance of getting to the final given the injury to Nadal where, almost certainly, Federer will give him a pasting.

I always support the British players so find myself supporting him even though he is not my favourite sports personality.

I must admit to warming a bit to him though as the tournament has progressed.

Andy Murray is great.

I read an interview with him in which he said that tennis is his job so he concentrates and doesn't mess about. Between tournaments he messes about as much as the next 22 year old.

If you notice he is always very kind to the autograph hunters at the end of the matches.

What a fantastic game last night. I just wonder how humid he would have found it without the roof though. apparently irt was 4-5 degrees cooler wiith the roof closed.

I quite agree with Mary.

And hes got far more bite and roar than Tiger Tim ever had !

Andy Murray is the most determined men's British tennis player for years; I hope his brilliant tennis and staying power will see him through to the final.

I can't somehow relish the idea of having to watch the Williams sisters in the final A G A I N !!!

I watched him play for the first time in this match. I'll have to take your word for his usual level of determination, but he didn't seem bothered about anything much to me! No effort, no passion, no aggression. Bit of a wet blanket, frankly. Based on the occasional glimpse of his mother, I'd say she'd have given Roddick a better run for his money...

I didn't watch the ladies final or the ladies double final, but it was the gruesome-twosome all over again !

Well Roddick threw the kitchen sink at Federer today and Federer came through and won.

I think he has to be the greatest player ever to date and I say that as one who admired my fellow Charlton fan Bjorn Borg.

15 Slams and at least one win at each of the 4 venues speaks eloquently in support of Federer.

I kept dropping bits of my dunking biscuit in my tea becasue I was so rapt.

I love Federer, what grace and effortlessness-not just whacking it hard!!!
