Hello everyone - at last I have managed to forget my password, reset it, get the system to log me in whenever and found the time to come back into the forum!

Question is simples - (ok the Meercat is getting a bit cheesy)

Is ANYONE I KNOW going to be in the choir for the carol concert on 17th December? I have, with baited breath (lol) decided to treat my friends and take them to the carol concert, but dump them whilst I join the choir! Who is conducting? Who else is going? So many questions, and it's still early 'cos the clocks fell back an hour and I am very confused!

HELP!    :D

I'm going - though I'm not sure when tickets go on sale - or if they have, I haven't got one yet.

EDIT.....Sorry, just realised that's not what you asked! I'm planning to be in the congregation, not the choir. Don't know who's conducting - it was Linden Ines-Hopkins (nee Fletcher, 5s) last year but I understand it's usually Adrian Bawtree. I also understand it's back to St Sepulchre's again this year after a couple of years at Waterloo.

NB:- Venue has changed - something to do with the floor being dug up I think at St. Sepulchre's.

It's now St. Andrew's, Holborn (just round the corner apparantly)

Thanks to Julian, and Margaret I have now purchased 2 tickets for my friends and I will allow Adrian to put me wherever he feels I might be of use! (still have 2 1/2 octaves from the original 3 octaves!) So no one I know or who is in here is going to be singing? That could be a problem I might end up having to sing all 4 parts alone unless there are lots and lots of peeps out of the forum WHO ARE SINGING! Come on you lot! MUSIC crosses ALL BOUNDARIES! Here I am Jewish, practicing, and going to sing Christian hymns of Xmas in the middle of Channukah! (Oy Voy, what will the Rabbi say!? )

Err - for those who have attended these concerts before, is there a "dress code" for the choir? Let alone that, what about those sitting and listening? Help please!

Thank Mary - there are not that many in the choir - Come on you lot - SUPPORT the CHA or wahtever it's name is! It's not far for some of you - ok DBS it's a long way from you - and sentinal - but there must be some people in here who were members of the choir once, and could sing again for a one off? Oy Vay, oy vay oh vay..... :!:

Now CHOBA, as opposed to CHUBBY.

I should be there... will put an event up on Facebook...

(I often wonder why CHOBA don't use Facebook more effectively to publicise events...) I would have thought that 85% + of all OBs under 30 are on there...

Early days yet, although only a little over a month to go.
The numbers are trickling in but there is a dearth of musicians and choir.
If they don't get more musicians I may be forced to take my trombone, which as a lone instrument, would be a disaster, even if I could play it.
