Have just heard from my DD that there is a new second form girl in Barnes who was at the same Primary school in TW as DD - St James's. If you are on the forum, please do get in touch - would love to hear how she is doing! DD is in Thornton A and now in LE (year 9) and loving it.

Hi! We used to be in Matfield but moved (to Pinchbeck, near Spalding, Lincs) just before DD started. We lived in TW from 1995-2000 and then Matfield 2000-2009. We ran the Wheelwrights Arms. Whereabouts are you? Is your daughter the one from St James's?

no she came from southborough primary and has gone into Leigh Hunt A. I have lurked on the forum for 2 years now and it has been invaluable to me....hoping the Barnes parents take the plunge and register too as a friendly face down the road would be brilliant. I used to live in Stamford!!

Ooh - this is spooky...my DD's close friend is YadaYada's DS...they live in Stamford and - wait for it - Yadayada used to live in Sevenoaks and went to TOGs! Which is where my DD was allocated. We are going round in circles! (With apologies to Yadayada for all this - am hoping you do not mind????)x

Yes - and you could share journeys too, which would be a godsend. If they were at St J's I don't suppose they will live too far away....unless they have moved, like we did! What made you choose CH?

I was born in Brenchley, Paddock Wood, in a house called Moatlands. Sounds posh but pregnant mums from Sarf Lundern were evacuated to the country to give birth in those days because of the bombing. This house was, I believe, requisitioned by the Ministry of Whatever; I don't know whose it was. Anyone got any clues?
