In Spring 1990 a new Assualt Course for the CCF was built in the Lag by the visiting Royal Engineers. These guys were members of Innes Troop of the Junior Leaders Regiment then based in Dover.

At the end of the week, to celebrate the completion of the build, a competition on the Assault Course was held between the Engineers and our CCF members, which was filmed on camcorder by somebody at the time...

...Would anyone know how, if possible, to get hold of a copy of this? Don't know who filmed it, or whether it was distributed or copied at all... but any info would be much appreciated.

That was a very good assault course... it's a shame that it fell into disrepair in about 1999 and is completely overgorwn now...

I remember the Venture Scouts taking on the CCF for a number of years on the course and them beating the CCF every time!
