Welcome to Mr Matthew Judd

Since no one has commented in the Forum on the appointment of our new Head Teacher, Matthew Judd, I’ll welcome him on behalf of us all, looking forward to his tenure being long, satisfying and successful from every point of view.
I know a bit about Leighton Park School, where he is its Head, since I was a West’s Gift boy from Shinfield and also have just visited its website. Matthew Judd states that it is “the 14th best performing boarding school in England.” (Does anyone know Housey’s ranking?) Also “The Independent School Inspectorate (ISI) have awarded Leighton Park a ‘double excellent’ standard, the highest possible attainment for an independent school.” This was higher than our last ISI rating, so we can look forward to a bright future for Housey, under his Headship.
Leighton Park is a Quaker Foundation, generally very liberal and has had distinguished socialist and leftish alumni, probably more than most other public schools. So possibly our new male Head Teacher’s having a husband is more likely to have been appointed there, than in other public schools. Does anyone know of schools other than Leighton Park and Housey with such a head? I don’t.
Anyhow we look forward to great things to come for all present (and past) Blues. Welcome again Matthew Judd.
