Sad to read the notification of the death of Bill Richards ( Pe B 61-70) in the monthly CHOBA newsletter.
He was a magnificent sportsman at CH. 1st XV captain and represented London and the South East schoolboys at the same time. He captained the cricket 1st XI too I believe (Howard Holdsworth will correct if I've misremembered that) and was an aggressive batsman capable of driving powerfully in the arc between long on and long off and scoring many boundaries as a consequence. He played and represented the School at other sports too.
I believe he was active as an Old Blue too and contributed a lot to the School in that role.
RIP Bill and sincere condolences to family and friends.
