Not sure how much of a splash they want to make, and it will be featured in the Old Blue, but I have just received this from Richard Lebon (Ma B, Gre E 97-04)
Rob Gauntlett and James Hooper (Ma B, Gre E 98-05) both 18, have just summited Ama Dablam (6856m) in the Nepal Himalaya, probably the most important step along the way to becoming the youngest Britons to summit Everest, which they hope to attempt in April/May 2006. They are now trekking out of the mountains to spend a few days in Kathmandu before flying back to England at the end of next week.

We're talking about your namesake, who was one of our contemporaries.
He was afflicted with the middle name mentioned!
