Happy Birthday Greg !
The last time you posted was quite a few moons ago and you were still out in Iraq !
I trust, (as I'm sure we all do), that you are fit and well and able to enjoy your birthday.

Yes, happy birthday, Greg. Will you get some time off at home for Christmas? And when does the regiment become The Rifles? There's much grumbling in the south-west (unsurprisingly!) about the change of name.

Well many thanks. I am now home (well in N Yorks) and imagine my surprise to see a 'birthday thread' to little old me!!!!
News is I am about to up sticks and take my family to Australia - the Australian Army have made me an offer I cannot refuse and besides, they wear really cool hats that go up on one side and everything, so how could I possibly say no?!!!!
Re-reading this post I remeber JDS once ranting about the oversue of exclamation marks in students' writing. Looking at this post I must still be a massive failure!
So, thank you one and all for the brithday greetings. It is nice to be back - both to see my family and to be able to have a drink again. I will let you all decide in which order I value thoooooosoeeesda.keJFBBFanmnf he he he
