Re: Face Book- What am I missing?
Jan uses faces book, as does other members of our family.
I flatly refuse to have anything to do with it. I've heard too many 'horror-stories' !

Like many things it is a good servant but a bad master.
I thought you might like this picture my daughter posted with her comment

he does not always look like that

If that is typical Facebook material, I rest my case .......

Honestly, Frances -
- Mary and her husband look hilarious! It's a fun picture, and not particularly "typical". I particularly liked a photo of Barry apres-a-delicious-curry recently, too!
Thanks to Facebook, I have been enjoying Susannah's year-later-honeymoon pictures this afternoon.

Re: Face Book- What am I missing?
Quite honestly, Kargarine, I don't think you are missing much. There are alternatives
We had a particularly unpleasant young female at the farm this year who has been forced to try to create a gFace Book group called "We like ******* ******". Nobody seems interested in joining. By contrast I have had a succession of invitations from what appear to be over se*ed and probably underaged females in far-flung countries - they should be flung even further with Mr Hoo flun Gdung.
Yes, I do have a presence - instead of Swedish (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3wkw0Byuis)* I have gone for an Italian firefly on Face Book and "Get Jealous" and keep a low profile. I find Skype far more useful because the French telephone system has certain drawbacks.
Outlook Express I simply cannot stand. I used it at work
but here at home someone else is paying and I don't know the codes to link it up (if I wanted to).
* quite seriously, can anyone tell me what this tune has been turned into- I'm sure there is an American name.

Re: Face Book- What am I missing?
Well I openly admit I love Facebook! It is fantastic for keeping in touch with family, friends etc. I have got back in touch with several of my classmates/housemates from CH which I am pretty certain wouldn't have happened without Facebook. It's also good for sharing photos - as previously mentioned, you can set your level of security so just because you post photos doesn't mean everyon on your friends list can see thm.

It all sounds far toomuch like hard work.

I wouldn't be here on this forum, if it wasn't for Facebook! I think I found Jo through a Facebook group. Great for quick updates between clients at work.

I have OB friends on Facebook who think this forum sounds too much like hard work. All those different boards to have to check, instead of everything being...well....there - all together in one place!midget wrote:It all sounds far toomuch like hard work.

Re: Face Book- What am I missing?
Re husband leaving his phones at work. He put a note on FB to that effect and his 'friends' in TV land put out a message to that effect. consequentially he had had hundreds of "friend" invitations from fans. Fortunately you can just hit "ignore".
