The day had started badly but this has turned it round!

We've had a lovely day together today, snuggling up on the sofa. She's been quite tired today, but has managed to eat some steak (her favourite, and something she was craving in hospital) and cucumber. She announced after her lunchtime antibiotic that she was sick of taking them, which is tough really because she's 3 down, 81 to go! The doctor did tell her that she had the choice of going home with tablets or staying in and having them intravenously - easy choice to make.

We're planning a short walk tomorrow as long as it isn't raining, probably just down to the end of the road and back - I don't want to go too far in case I have to give her a piggy-back home.

Dean came home from work today sniffing, and now has a full-blown cold, which means I have to add an extra layer of cotton wool to Louise. The last thing she needs is to get that!!!

I hope so! If not, anybody got a spare bed for him for a few days? He's clean, puts the toilet seat down, washes the bath out after he uses it, can cook and makes a lovely cup of tea

Dean is Very Welcome to come over here (I could do with someone to cook for me.....) but I guess he is better engaged at home, doing what he can to protect Louise from further infection. Masks? Antibacterial gels? Whatever. Poor all of you!

Dean sounds like the ideal husband! though my other half did make a lovely chicken stew yesterday when it was freezing outside, very good for the morale! And today he made a bowl of perfect basmati. This retirement lark is great - for me!

Joking apart, it's lovely to have you back, lonelymum, and seemingly firing on all cylinders - but do remember to take it easy yourself, you've been through the wringer too!

Brilliant, brilliant news, Michelle - you must all be so relieved.... I'm so pleased.

Not been here for a bit for various reasons, not least of which is that I got back a little while ago from CH having picked up my son from the Health Centre. He was admitted yesterday with a very high temperature and was seen by the doctor this morning who thinks it's swine flu....
His temperature is going up and down and he's not really eating (which is always a bad sign in this house) but at least he's home. I think he's going to be fine but I have to admit to a small amount of worry. (it's always there niggling away - part of being a Mum, I think!)

Journey was truly dreadful - I felt a bit like Noah ploughing through all that water... but at least we're here safely.

Hope he's OK huggermugger. I had my son home for a week after the closure and it is a worry but he is back to his usual grunting- moaning- eating everything in Europe self again now.
