His foot does seem to be slightly unusual, as if there is something there, inside the trouser leg, which anchors him to the floor.

As someone who takes statins and blood-pressure tablets, AND a soluble 75mg aspirin a day, AND enjoys a tipple, my Doc advises me that Guiness is the worst drink for people with blood-pressure/heart problems.

No? The Pope did and excommunicated Copernicus. I know that because Copernicus was reburied with religious honours last week. Took an awful lot of years, popes and Jesuit scientists to work out that the earth goes round the sun.englishangel wrote:You can't argue with the science.....until next week when another scientist comes out with the contrary view.

Hilarious.
Mrs Mills advice column in the Sunday Times a couple of weeks ago had me howling with laughter too.

Maybe but it took several centuries before the Pope allowed the blackened ashes of Copernicus' soul to be moved to heaven; that is one good fingerless man who will not be playing the harp. I wonder if Copernicus thinks it was worth it.englishangel wrote:But the science won in the end, and the statement was qualified.
