Designer in Residence

Does anyone know what a student on a year’s placement would do as Designer in Residence at CH? A friend has just told me her daughter doing a Computer Aided Design (?) course at Loughborough has got her year out placement at CH. My friend didn’t even know I had any connections with the school!

Pure guesswork on my part: Perhaps programming CNC machines in metalwork? Would have made my toasting fork a lot better had I had that rather than my young butter-fingers.

Or maybe its about teaching programming?

Thanks, you could well be right! I hope I will learn, and her opinion on the place. The interview was online not face to face so she hasn’t been to Horsham yet.

I’ve heard the student is really enjoying her time at Horsham. She seems to be an assistant housemistress in Coleridge, and is coaching junior rugby. Having asked for my maiden name I’ve been shown a picture of my name on one of the Honours boards by the Court Room.

I don’t know what she is doing in the design field!
