Oaties: King or Ming?
Well, I've noticed a thread about Crusty Creams vs. Bourbons (both nice in my humble opinion, and went very well with plastic 1L bottles of milk), but the real question is this:
Were you one of those freaks who liked the -often charred- discs known as oaties?
Or did you quite rightly throw them in the bin/at eachother/at cheeky squits instead?
This really is a question I'd like settled once and for all.

I don't remember many biscuits at Horsham at all, hence my obsession with them now. We did have 'dorm biscuits' at Hertford at bedtime - the only luxury in 1's, a very spartan house. ![Image](http://bestsmileys.com/crying/8.gif)

raised ruddy soft, the lot of you.... I dont remember get any sort of biscuits at Hertford, burnt or otherwise
( what I do remember, and still yearn for from time to time, are the flapjacks we sometimes had at tea-time.... and date slices !)

We had a tin of biscuits in the kitchen in 6s. It was officially kept for times like before the early Communion on Sunday morning. I do, however remember that it was raided at other times when it shouldn't have been!Euterpe13 wrote:raised ruddy soft, the lot of you.... Yes, there was also a tin of totally tasteless biscuits in 2's kitchen for same purpose - but no-one was interested in raiding them !!!
Tea & biscuits for early communion became " authorised", I remember, because of people fainting in the middle of communion - especially Kate Muir ! I had to catch her more than once as she slipped sideways...
