THANK YOU

Post by Jude »

I wanted to say something to all of you who have talked, im'd, laughed at my stupid spelling mistakes, corrected things that have gone wrong etc.. John Hopgood wanted to know if there was anything I wanted to say about the forum. This is what I put. I hope it finds it' way into the OB.

This forum has kept me going all through the hardest and deepest relapse of my health that I can remember. I suddenly have friends when often I felt I was alone. All I can say is it is the most positive thing anyone chose to do and my thanks ( very deepest thanks) go to Julian and Simon for running and keeping it going. The topics we cover go from Astrophysics to cleaning! From Classical to rock, and the mundane to the extraordinary. For those within who have helped me along the rocky path recently I GIVE A HUGE THANKS. Without the forum to have a laugh, not only would I have been bed ridden, house ridden but my life would have been pretty bad.
So UFOCH - you are great!

Thank you Guys n Gals - you lot are really something special

What a lovely "thank you", Jude! I am quite touched by it, and I am sure JT et al will be too.

Needless to say we enjoy your postings too, and - just occasionally! - teasing you a bit as well. (It was always fun teasing the girls, and some of us have yet to grow up properly.)

what do you mean 'some'?

It is an axiom that possession of the Y chromosome means you never grow up.

You're only jealous!!

Thank you Jude for your kind comments - it's really made it all worth it seeing so many people enjoying and benefiting from the forum. The main purpose has certainly been fulfilled, in enabling Old Blues to chat and reconnect, so I'm so glad that it's also provided a support to you.

In the early days it was hard work getting it going, but now that I see so many people using it and enjoying some healthy banter (the Amicables call it "brawling" if I recall correctly - a form of polite and courteous ribbing!) it's all worth while!
