Alright, I give in, I am just going to have to bite the bullitt and ask....
What the hell does that mean?

I just know I have walked into a joke here and I am going to look such a twerp (so what's new there then)
Nothing too serious about it! It's just the title of a song by the late great Adge Cutler.

For North Somerset types like myself Adge was our local hero, musically speaking.
Does that include the Wurzels????

Phew, breathes huge sigh of relief, I really thought I had walked into a booby trap then.
Okay, I will have to go surfing to see if I can find some of his stuff, always open to new music. I wish I had been more musically involved at CH.

Re. Wurzels - yes, the outfit was called Adge Cutler and the Wurzels.

Unfortunately, Adge was killed in a car crash returning from a gig in Wa**s in 1974, after which the Wurzels went all commercial.

Adge was a talented songwriter - the Wurzels were not.

I quite enjoy the faces of folk when the Wurzels come to play - they were at a Boules fair near here in the summer - one "aquaintance" of mine hates them - and within the first 2 songs she went to pieces lol.. They make people laugh, and I know teens who love em - so don't knock em!

I'm not knocking them, just saying that Adge was the songwriter, and after his death the Wurzels decided to make a (successful) living being 'comedy' yokels.

They are amusing, and I'd quite happily watch them, but Adge was the main talent.

Why is Wa**s now considered a swear-word ?

Has it anything to do with sheep ?

All those hours infront of the tv in the dayroom praying for victory only to be dashed again and again by the sheep and wellie brigade.
