Sporting Controversy Involving Old Blue..........

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

With my build I was a certainty for the pack and so I encountered my first scrum down.........
I was playing tight head prop and the hooker threw his arm around me, I thought "hang on son, your being a bit friendly aren't you!" But what the heck, I better show willing. Then before I could get over the first shock I found this shoulder against my backside and an arm thrust betwen my legs grabbing at the waist band of my shorts!
I didn't know any better so I gave him a back heel in the face. He asked for it grabbing where even my mother can't go!
Next thing I know, I am sent off and told to wait outside the housemaster's study. I got a lecture explaining rugby and had to go to the sicker and apologise to the guy with a wider nose.
Oh the joys of rugby.
I had two sessions with a rugby ref. The first was in Prep A; in the rules as was explained to us it says you can't pass the ball forward. I simply turned round and threw the ball backwards over my head. That earned me a session with Mr Jones when I complained that I had followed the rules as stated and that the ref should also obey them.

On a later occasion, playing 2nd row for Accra Wanderers I came out of the pack in a hurry and got my rising head up the backside of someone not of my team. A complaint about obstruction and telling the so-and-so that he should get out of the way was not appreciated by a ref with a bruised coccyx!!! I didn't tell him to wash his ass as was claimed

Having more money doesn't make you happier. I have 50 million dollars
but I'm just as happy as when I had 48 million.

We had been watching the game, refereed by a current RFU ref (who also teaches at the school) when the Maine A house captain went up to the ref at half time and offered him his glasses...
That's the incident we discussed on Friday... why do I remember it if I wasn't there? Was it the MaA house captain I spent some time with at CH?

Or maybe I was given a blow by blow account by the aforementioned house captain...
