COUNT ME IN!!!
I used to have a 44 yr old car - had it for 22 yrs and it finally died this year
Used to do weird cross country runs with one of my children when they couldnt read at all let alone the map!
We would always get lost and usually half way across a field and youd always find some other daft b*gger there stuck in the mud in some rusting 1940's hulk!

Apparently 50% of 'young' drivers (whatever they are) cannot read a map and when shown one thought that the M40 was a river. The Avon or somesuch, so their geography wasn't much good either.huntertitus wrote:COUNT ME IN!!!

Clever smoke screen both of you saying you were an only child!soc wrote:I am checking ebay out for suitable chassis
Much of what you say makes sense now
My brother posts here too, but not as aften as us
I think you should be able to sort the memberlist on how often people post and I think you'd be no.1
At the rate you are going you will be no 1 on the sheer amount of posts you have made!

They dumped us at night on Dartmoor with compass and map and a couple of biscuits
We were terrified of the hideous horned sheep whose eyes seemed to glow a weird blue colour
That was an incentive to learn mapreading!
