From what did you drink your tea when at CH?

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

We all got given a plate on 23 October 1985 to commemorate Founders Day. Just got mine out for the first time in years and on the back it has written " In commemoration of Founder's Day, 23 October 1985 the birthday of King Edward VI - In the year that Christ's Hospital's two schools were re-united" The front of the plate is decorated similar to the bowls and has the school crest in the centre.

I guess its a 'modern' replica of my plate (see photograph kindly inserted by Ruth further back up this thread)?

Oh! I wonder where mine is? I have absolutely no recollection of that. I'm sure I would have been grateful at the time though.

The plate that I have is one of the replica plates - my niece Jo Hills was at the school when they were given to Vonny and others. It is NOT identical with Kerren's plate. The crest in the cente does not have the belt around it, it is similar but not identical to the one on the bowl on the left. The cross in the centre of the crest is solid. The name Christ's Hospital is on a scroll under the crest. Other than that, as far as I can see the decoration is the same as Kerren's.
