Well, I, prehaps, sortof was, but I had a 10 hour advantage.

It would appear that I wasn't the only person to spend the time of celebration at home - although I was watching TV, not floating in cyberspace.

Happy New Year one and all.

Hmmmm, no Liz officially beat us all, although my post to which she replied was sent at approx 10 am on 1/1 local time.

I just couldn't get excited over Millenium celebrations - it was all over in NZ (where I lived for 7 years) while we were still winding up here in South Australia, where most of us were sleepy bobos when the UK began its celebrations. There are only so many fireworks a gal can take within a 24 hours period.

How bah humbuggish am I this morning?

Happy new year, one and all.

But yes, this was always going to be a tricky question what with timezones and everything. It was already 2007 somewhere in the world before I even woke up on New Year's Eve, so I never stood a chance. :)

Still, there's something to be said for ringing in the new year after most of the world. You can watch the celebrations in other places over the course of the day, as a kind of build-up. And I'm still awake when my family in the UK is welcoming the year, while the reverse probably isn't true.

I was floating in alcohol, needless to say.

A very belated Happy New Year (and Christmas, for that matter) to everyone!

I finally managed to tear myself away from the computer for a week or so - it was quite nice, actually.

Christmas Eve was spent in The Bax Castle (very laid back) and New Year's Eve, by way of contrast, was spent in Pirie's Bar in Horsham (not so laid back).

I guess you would have seen my sister in the Bax then!

I'm well late on this one.

Happy New Year or Hodne Zdravi do Noveho Roku.

I took a 2 week break in the Czech Republic (at my in-laws) and only just back. Sometimes it is nice to be away from the computer

Yes a late Happy New Year to everyone!

I was in Rome with computer, but only connected to the Internet by a damp bit of string (dial-up) so didn't look here much!.
