Funnily enough my brother is being inducted as a Free Church Minister on Easter Sunday and my father has his birthday on 7th April.
... as opposed to a Paying one ... and are these two things related? Is this perchance your father's birthday present ?

I only spend so much time in church because of the singing, which I adore, and which is to be expected with Easter being the pivotal season for Christians. Too many unfortunate experiences within the hallowed grasp of the C of E to have much affinity with it at the moment.

You may be correct about the birthday present in a strange sort of way. I think my Dad would have gone down the same route if he had had the chance.
