A definite possibility I suppose. Just shoot and hope it hits. Not very responsible, no, but indeed fun. I'll check it out since it has such rave reviews.

Since CH does voluntary minority subjects, like Italian ( which I want to take incidently) I was wondering when I have to inform CH that I would wish to take them. Is it the induction week or in september. just curious.

Definitely one of those names. Failed to spot an erupting abscess. I never did forgive him.

We used to have those checkups from him where we were sent with a letter to our own dentist to have the work done in the holidays. My dentist could never find most of the things he had, so did nothing and signed the letter treatment all finished!

If you have a squint in your right eye you are probably left eye dominant. Point at something across the room (door handle, light switch etc) with both eyes open, cover first one then the other eye, your dominant eye is the one where the finger is still pointing in the same place! Left eye dominant = shoot left handed for rifle, not sure about shotgun.

You'll be knackered if you ever joined the CCF, as I remember, you had to shoot with your right eye as the cartridges always came out of the right side of the rifle.

I had problems with that. All members of the CCF had to do rifle shooting as part of the annual classification. To the day I left, I never did discover where the targets popped up in the indoor range - I just fired when everybody else did, pointing my rifle vaguely at the other end of the range.

On one occasion, RSM Carter must have spotted something was amiss as I received his army boot hard in the middle of my backside. It turned out that some people had received more that the maximum of five holes in their targets. In the circumstances, it was hard hard to know the correct response to "What the **** do you think you're doing?"

.................. you could try asking for a left-handed rifle though ....

a rifle is generally considered a better weapon

Depends which ones, the ones for the indoor range can be used either way round, the GP is almost only right handed (there is a left handed version I think) and the cadet target rifle can also be used either way round.

I got an A* on my French Oral.
It went quite terribly though. I couldn't stop laughing all the way through it because the topic of the french was rather amusing and I coudn't remember some words so I had to do some magic with talking around the word I wanted to say.
A couple more results like these and I'll be definitely be secure with my CH placement. I need those 6 B's. Which, without being cocky I'm going to get.

Ok. Now I'm depressed. It seems that my endless and seemingly huge efforts to complete my D.T coursework to a great standard have come to nothing. Or, well, not as good as I hoped. An annoying B in the product and an A in the folder work. It was graded as 84/95 which has annoyed me to no extent. Hopefully this shall be the lowest of my grades in August, though I havn't many hopes for Spanish either.

I finally have pictures of it though, so if anyone wants to see a few I'll put them up.

A question... If after the calculations for a parental contribution is made and then one of your parents looses their job, is the amount lessened?.

Also, Does anyone know when term will roughly start in september?.

You'll do fine! They won't chuck you out at ths stage even if your grades were to turn out to be a bit iffy.

Parental contributions are re-assessed annually and, in the event of a major change in circumstances, there would be an appropriate adjustment at the time of the change notified to Mrs Young.

Term starts on Sunday 2nd September, the first leave w/e is on 21st September, half term 13-28 October and term ends Saturday 8th December
