Eurovision..............

Post by J.R. »

............. Song Contest.

Not that I watched it, mind !!

I thought our entry this year was probably one of the best for a long time. Even the bookies gave us a very good chance.

Where did we end up ?

Joint seond from bottom. If you look carefully at the positions of the countries down from number 1, you can see that this farce is nothing more than a political joke, with the voting countries patting their friendly allies on the back.

No prizes for guessing who joined the Yanks in going to war in Iaq, then ???

Interestingly, of the Eurovision finalists, the following currently have troops in Iraq:

Bosnia & Herzegovina
Romania
Georgia
Bulgaria
Latvia
Lithuania
Macedonia
Moldova
UK

Obviously we have many times more troops there than any of these nations, and not many of the other nations do much actual fighting (although some of them have certainly taken casualties), but there is the possibility that they all just thought that Scooch were crap.....

According to one radio programme, the new word for cr@p is SCOOCH.
