Really, really bad news. Despite Nick Ross's pleas to the contrary I am now having nightmares.

JR, I am, as ever, indebted to you for your continued support and all-round good taste. It's the comments about lovely Fiona's age that hurt so much:

"Kirsty Young, the former Channel Five newsreader, is to be the new, more youthful face of the BBC's Crimewatch"

Youthful, my a*se! She may be 5 years younger but she doesn't look it.

I fear I may have to start watching the Antiques Roadshow just to get my regular Fiona fix. I can imagine her now, flashing her sexy eyebrow at an ornamental Toby jug or grinning suggestively as a pensioner waits to find out how much their sideboard is worth. I must stop. I'm getting all hot and bothered.
My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We’ll see about that.

But more to the point, she doesn't have that devilish twinkle in her eye...

having said that, Marty, I'm really starting to worry about you.

Despite the surname Fiona probably isn't Scottish enough for the BBC whereas Kirsty offers yet another Scottish accent.

Nothing against Scots per se I hasten to add! I just think that they are disproportionately represented in the broadcast media.

Also now that Nick is going I'm sure Fiona telling me not to have nightmares would help me to sleep better

I have noticed that there are a huge number of Scottish people on TV. It's a tartan invasion.

Yes... I agree!

Absolutely nothing.

That's the point. Why discriminate against Fiona on the grounds of age?
