Do they celebrate birthdays in Thailand? If so, hope it's a good one!

Philip!!!
Have a wonderful birthday! Bet you're just getting ready to go out on the rampage!
Be sure to be bad and wicked, and don't forget the lipgloss.

Missed my own, now missed Philip's, never mind, I hope it was a good one.

I don't think Philip has been on this thread at all. Maybe he is still recovering!

Re: Ajarn's Birthday Today.
Thank you, one and all, for the kind thoughts.
I think this is only the 2nd time I've visited the forum in about a month. When I first joined, I was teaching at the university, which left me quite a bit of time on my hands. For the last few months I've been translating French-English as well as teaching, and for some reason that work has increased in volume since Christmas to such an extent that I rarely have an hour to myself. That hour is usually spent reading, or lying in a darkened room with a cold flannel over my eyes... My next investment will be a large, flat-screened monitor!
On top of that, a good friend arrived in Thailand last week on an extended visit. He is in the habit of drinking more than would normally be considered prudent and also enjoys a game of backgammon. I feel that, as his host, it is incumbent on me to join him when I can...
Oops, sorry, must dash - I can hear dice rattling in a cup and ice rattling in a glass...
