Dosen't really fit the pedant's revolt but it's surreal nature appealed to me.

and one very old friend (70 plus plus plus) has a St Bernard whilst another, slightly younger, has three Newfoundlands plus two spaniels! Their combined weight on one step would probably overload the escalator.
