Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Don't suppose any of you are fans of 'Spooks' on BBC 1, but I realised last night that one of the newer characters in the show is an OB a few years younger than me called Alex Lanipekun. The character is called Ben Kaplan Can't remember any more details, but I was Thorn B and then Mid A 90-97.

Footy. :D
I almost made a new thread: OB found dead in MI5 archive!
sadly the character Ben came to a sticky end at the hands of a dastardly traitor.
Yes who would have thought Connie was the mole..after they turned her house over and nothing was found....very clever!

Its funny i have only just got into spooks, watched the first episode of this series as the fiance likes it and now im totally hooked!!!!

The first star of Spooks, Matthew Macfadyen, was in my boarding house when I was a House Tutor at Oakham School in 1990-1994. He was already a talented thespian then and of course went on to greater things. Lucky him having to date Keira Knightley in the Pride and Prejuduce film!!

Being an Ancient Old Blue (Any Other Business) can anyone explain to me why CH named it's Grecian Houses "East and West"
with a remarkable lack of initiative.
All the other Houses are named after benefactors or distinguished Old Blues
I don't believe I am off Topic, when I ask --------Why not BARNES WALLIS, or CLIVE DAVIS,-- do you have to be Dead ?
Further suggestions---- or must this be another Topic ?

Some of us like to think that one of them is named after our revered Headmistress and then they ran out of ideas!

I feel that response belongs in the 'Pedantic' thread, Katharine !

Very good, though !

Who was Clive Davis?

I know Sir Colin Davis the conductor but Clive no?

AAAArgh ! Senility strikes again !
Of course it is Sir Colin Davis, ------ and he was actually a contemporary of mine at CH !!!
I suppose I shall now be accused of implying that Sir Colin is senile !
I return, however to the original question ---- why East and West, ?-- Is there no artistic initiative remaining in the folks who decide these things ?--------- Perhaps they are waiting for ME to die ------ (Everyone else is ! !) :axe:
