Well done, Matt and Angie!
I knew the reverberations from the Chapel Organ would have some effect!
I hope both Angie and Joshua are flourishing.

Nah, Jo. Wrong end of stick
I came across Matt and Angie, sitting in the Chapel on OBD, before Choir Practice. Ben Chuter was thundering away on the Organ and you could feel the reverberations in the floor. Matt indicated that there was no news yet and I simply remarked that if Angie sat where she was much longer, nature might take its course... Matt suggested that Angie might move to the Organ console...
Well, a day later, nature did take its course. Wonderful! Another little Blue is born...

Ah
Probably more pleasant than the bumpy roads my mother went out on in an effort to cajole my younger brother into the world.

We walked for miles round Wembley market one Sunday 23 and a half years ago. It took until Friday and an induction to work

Re: CONGRATULATIONS - there`s a Little Plum at last!
Hi all,
thanks for your kind words...
I now have a baby son, Joshua David Holdsworth who was born on the 26th April at 13.54 weighing 7lbs 9oz...
angie and i were at OBs day - we went down to see my sister as we thought i wouldn't be seeing her for a while (she lives in Manchester these days!) I told Mum that day that the baby would be coming that weekend (she told me I was talking rubbish!)
Anyway, at 11.20pm that night, Angie woke me up saying she thought she had contractions... and by 3am we were at the hospital...
Things were progressing well, until they took some bloods from angie as she'd had slightly raised blood pressure in the latter stages of the pregnancy... they then noticed that the baby's heart rate was decreasing when angie was having contractions so they thought they may have to do a c section... Luckily, the blood levels came back at that moment saying her platelet levels (which help to clot the blood) were very low and her liver enzymes were too high... She had what is known as HELLP syndrome (yes seriously!) so we suddenly had all manner of consultants etc... Luckily, Joshua came naturally and he is doing very well now... he certainly likes to feed! Angie has been somewhat bemused by the whole thing as she has never felt ill - we've had midwives traipsing in and out of the house checking her blood pressure and they had to stay in 3 nights!
Still, he's the most amazing thing to have happened to us both!! There are pics on facebook if people want to see them!

Thank goodness for the chapel organ then. I am so pleased both are thriving. HELLP syndrome can be very nasty. Anyone who is 'out of the loop' on childbearing will be amazed that Angie stayed in 'only' 3 days. 30 years ago even second time Mums stayed in 7-10 days.
