Phil - believe it or not, in spite of telephone, e-mail, Skype etc, this is often the easiest way to contact Maria. Bear in mind that she is in Finland and I am in England. However, I am about to join her for the imminent arrival of Grandchild Number Two - I think I might start a new thread to document that - especially as I see that there is also about to be a Baby Plum.

Hey, you're preaching to the converted! My daughter has nothing (other than me...) to do with CH, but she often looks on here to see what I'm up to. I often get an "Oh, Daaaaaaaad" email after posting something on here - can't think why... :?

Here, too!

Finally managed to get a picture online for the last ten minutes* and it turned out to be the best bit!! My poor little Hanna is probably deaf in one ear having chosen to climb onto my lap to see why mummy was shouting at the computer! I did try to explain that she is named after my Irish Great Grandmother, Johanna, so she should shout for the Green team but being three years old, she started to shout for the Red team....

What a finish! and my homeland came second, so can't be bad!

*listened to the rest on bbc 5 live

I bet Paddy Wallace is relieved!

I'm more Welsh (an eighth to be precise) than Irish but the Irish played the best rugby consistently and fully deserve it over the five matches.

I'm pleased for them.
