One of my female cousins is a Nursing sister. She told me that when she was on night-duty at Guys, a bloke came in, double up in absolute agony.

Obviously it was at first thought he had a ruptured apendix antil a stethoscope examination revealed a low humming/buzzing noise.

I'll leave the rest to your vivid imaginations !

to believe what they tell you.
Many are too young but there are those who will remember the polio epidemic of the late 40's and early 50's. At that time there were two options - if you were lucky you would be crippled for the rest of your natural whilst otherwise you would see out your days in an iron lung - a cylinder which did your breathing for you. The insurance companies made a wallop out of doctors' prognoses.

I was reminded of this by the "Hairy Bikers" on TV tonight. The sister of one of them, being diagnosed with polio, was forced by her father to walk up and down the beach at Bamburgh head for 8 months instead. She became a quality athlete. Who else believes what the doctors say? (OK so, whilst I was at CH, the doctor said I would lose my foot - until some weird and wonderful honey-like muck arrived from the wilds of Lunnun)

Whatever they say, it ain't necessarily so.

On "A&E" this afternopon they showed a man and woman (both early 20's or younger) who were similarly stuck by their 4 palms - apparently their partners were elsewhere. That is togetherness by anyone's book but I don't know whet the partners had to say about it.

So here's another good one from the Press today...guy had his fish and tackle sectioned because he was apparently a lover another man's wife!

The last sentence is for Philip...apparently quite common practice in Thailand where it is the wives who cut their husbands members!

This reminds me of our friend Bobbit....
