ooh, I don't know what a chatroom is, is it fun?
No idea! But as all we`re really doing is chatting , it seems like a good thing! We`re not really "discussing" anything at all most of the time!
I think the idea of a chatroom is just to chat about ...whatever- like we do here!

so if it's the same, how come it's different?

I don't know either - but I think they are supposed to be very dangerous and they are trying to stop them.
Probably too much coffee snarfing!

Well if we`re trying to self-moderate, which I think may prove to be nigh on impossible(!!!) I`d suggest that a seperate thread just for "chat" be set up - no specific topic at all - then everyone can ignore it- or join in if they want without getting lost!!

and if just wanting to chat , we could stay on that thread and it would solve all your location-finding problems, Ruth!

No they're there, Ruthie-Baby - it's just that they have temporarily got lost! As I say you can find them again with your back button (unless it has come undone

)
No they're not. NOT NOT NOT.
Have you found your button? (and please don't stamp your foot at me)
if there was a button to press to find out what thread i'm in, then believe me, I would press it. But the back button's for sissys and messes up the data in your browser and it might upset the forum to click post then go back and forward. Was always taught not to use it...

well yes , but it`s not quite the same thing - or is it? I`m confused!

When I'm in the 'Looking for Ruth' thread I feel happy and comfortable and feel that I can say what I like.
I almost feel this comfortable in the 'Help' thread as whatever we say, the vague idea is that it's helping soc (somehow!). Maybe because there's an element of possession about it.
In other threads I feel guilty for stuff.
That's just me I suppose.
But if the plum starts a 'Plummy chat' thread and then he kind of moderates it by yelling at us if we type stuff he doesn't like, and the same for other people, mabe they'll feel at home there.
Does that make any sense at all?

You are helping me by making me laugh and keeping me distracted. I knew I could rely on you lot to see me through

So we all start our own thread? And talk to ourselves all day ? (what I do anyway!!)

no, it's not just Sean that posts in the 'Help' thread, is it?
and people do occasionally appear with a few words in 'Looking for Ruth'. So we might come and talk to you...

Truth be told I only started this thread because I knew that I would not give up without your help

I agree with Matt's first post (on topic).
