Having just spent five minutes working out how this thread started I agree with Matt and EA. I know I am one of the worst culprits for digression but if the thread is stickied then I promise not to muck about on it or perhaps if key threads have (serious) in the title, then we can all se that it is a thread to leave joke and digression free

no you didn't. you started the 'Help' thread. this is the serious one where we mustn't go off topic.

Just proves the point really - so if this is the serious thread, we wont mention meerkats then.

yeah, ok, but my rambling bit WAS on topic, because if someone can tell me how to see what thread I'm posting on, then I can do all the good stuff that the sentiment of this thread suggests.
There!

I almost feel this comfortable in the 'Help' thread as whatever we say, the vague idea is that it's helping soc (somehow!). Maybe because there's an element of possession about it.
In other threads I feel guilty for stuff.
That's just me I suppose.
But if the plum starts a 'Plummy chat' thread and then he kind of moderates it by yelling at us if we type stuff he doesn't like, and the same for other people, mabe they'll feel at home there.
Does that make any sense at all?
So we all start our own thread? And talk to ourselves all day ? (what I do anyway!!)
no, it's not just Sean that posts in the 'Help' thread, is it?
and people do occasionally appear with a few words in 'Looking for Ruth'. So we might come and talk to you...
Sounds as if I`m being sent to Coventry! (could visit paernts while I`m there, I suppose!)

I think that this is a good idea - and the most simple to police...

It has an icon such as the 'date for Old Blue's Day' thread to the left of it...

it's ok, it's my same question as before, it has no answer...
I know how to tell when I'm looking at the main forum page, it's just that I always go to my profile page and click on the link there.
please don't bother answering because we've already been over this once in this topic...
