The Old Blue....

Post by Mid A 15 »

has apparently been sent out according to the CHA site.

Am I alone in not having received it?

Grovel. Grovel.

I received some material later than anticipated and the whole thing was set back a bit.
Then for some reason, August holidays intervened, not in my calculation since I am permanently on holiday, and by the time it was ready for the printers, we had missed a slot.
Had I made it to CH on Tuesday, I would have picked up a copy, hot off the press, but I was running late and missed a train, so cancelled my visit.
(The CHA Board was there on Saturday, but we had few hecklers.)

What does all this mean?

It's in the hands of the company that sends it out and should be with you asap.
Given the mail from the UK I expect to get my copy by the end of the month, but you should get it next week.

(Why is it that mail to the UK from Spain takes 2 days and the reverse takes 2 weeks?
Does anyone know why the inland revenue mail is sent via Sweden, as is the Guardian Weekly?)

I will now go back to my wine and wait for the flak.

No flak from me John.

I'm just relieved yet another item of mail hasn't gone astray!

It's happened a few times in the last month or two since a new postman took over.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED IN THE CHA OFFICE BY FRIDAY 7TH OCTOBER.

If anything my postal problem is even worse. I reckon to not receive 20% of mail - some barsteward has highjacked my wife's Scottish Equitable (or somesuch) free shares and the reply to the formal complaint hasn't arrived. It is so bad that we receive a regular annual payment from the post office.
As for getting a form to CHA by 7th October - a block of ice in hell has a better chance. (BTW - no flak to you - just have another glass. I've not received anything from the CHA or it's predecessor for several years
Having more money doesn't make you happier. I have 50 million dollars
but I'm just as happy as when I had 48 million.

Will we receive a copy if we got one last time or does everyone who wants one have to contact the office?

If you got one last time, you are on the database and will get one this time and forever, unless you decide not to receive it and tell the office.
If you did not receive it last time and consider you should have, contact the CHA office.

So if I want a copy of the Blue, I just need to wait for the Old Blue and send a form back?

The Old Blue, YES, The Blue, NO

The Old Blue is the CHA magazine, hence you get it free.

The Blue is the school magazine, and is only free to students.

Don't think I've had the Old Blue - which is odd because I've had Housey and I've received letters and phone calls asking me for cash for the school.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

I suggest you phone the CHA office and get them to check that you are on the database with the correct address.
My sister had the same problem.
