Old Blues in Politics
Interested in this one....at different times CH was quite political --- does anyone now any OBs who have gotten involved in politics (successfully or otherwise) and been elected at a national or local level?

See I felt kinda let down by CH in my political education. No politics a-level, no classes on it. All my political interest and knowledge has come since I left, but I would have thought CH would have encouraged interest in some way, but no.

Matt Pollard on Question Timewas excellent - inspite of a lack of political education(?), he obviously had the will to get on there and held is own extremely well.
A very impressive young man.

I did Pol-econ (Politics / Economics) A Level in 1989 so it was around at some point. Though as that was the most exciting non 'standard' a level in the late 80's I guess it's been replaced with media studies and other such startlingly useful subjects. Loved politics never knew what the hell was going on with economics other than whatever you did it was wrong...same as politics i guess.Hannoir wrote:See I felt kinda let down by CH in my political education. He taught us politics, they got an extra economics teacher in who's name to my shame i completely forget.. he was pretty good and actually we had more political debate in his class than in politics.Mid A 15 wrote:Neil Simms taught Economics and Political Studies "A" level in my day.
