Sore Nipples
Very useful! There's an appropriate link from this link -
"It's Vegas, Baby! How to make the perfect escape to the Strip on any budget!"
Hey,never mind the baby or the nipples! Make that escape...

Re: sore nipples
After sitting boggle-eyed for just a second and seeing who posted it (yes, I have heard women talking when they thought there were no men around) I was very tempted to quote Charlie Dimmock who said on TV that she was going to use sticking plasters to avoid sore nipples.
I then looked at the first of three pages on the website pointed to and read:
Sore nipples are usually due to one or both of two causes:
.. the baby is not positioned and latched properly, or ..............
and decided that their definition of baby = my garden gate.
(JR - I'll join you in those yards of ale, coat or no coat

Re: sore nipples

To all the men out there, think of being kicked in the man bits, after a while the initial shock fades and you just have a low grade ache, then think that it is going to happen again in 3 to 4 hours, EVERY 3 to 4 hours for the next six months. A yard of ale (or a triple brandy) would be very welcome to dull the pain.
All of this is to give the next generation the the very best start in life,

Re: sore nipples
I now have a confession to make, I never had sore nipples with any of my babies, they must have read the instructions for latching on.
I DID have the 'thousand yard stare' though.

Re: sore nipples
It's actually a military term (or two thousand yard stare) when you are so tired you don't know if you are awake or asleep and you do things automatically. Often a prelude to post traumatic stress disorder, or post natal depression.
