Was this the right decision?

He says he was not drinking and was not there long-but to be snapped ocming out of a club in the early hours of the morning the day before your 1st international start for you country was not the most thing.

I think Ashton was right to drop him, to play for the English rugby team is something to achieve and really want and understand that every position is contested! Therefore why risk it by going out just days before the moment he has apparently been waiting for arrives?????

I know players at premiership rugby clubs who would never do such thing prior to a match on a saturday!!! I think this shows that he is not ready for international level rugby!

If they were to do this to the english footballers i dont think you would have many playing?

No idea about the sporting aspect but we (myself and Brian) share the same surname so I'm drawn to agree with him whatever he says :-p

(no relation though!!)

On the radio tonight they quoted an interview with D'Allaglio from about 10 years ago when he did something similar and called himself naive and stupid.

If the rest of the squad were confined to barracks or returned before curfew hour then yes Ashton needs to make a stand.

If they had a free evening and Ashton simply doesn't like the fact he went to a nightclub then the punishment is excessive.

I've voted for Fiona anyway

As usual, Fiona gets my loving vote.

OH PLEASE, get her back on 'Crimewatch' !

She is SO much sexier than her replacement.

I find Kirtsy Young really cheerful as well and that seems slightly unsuitable when she's telling us about someone being murdererd and dismembered :axe:

Well, I would imagine that Cipriani's quite grateful that he's not been tainted by the sorry shambles that was the England team at Murrayfield.

I can't remember seeing such an inept and rudderless performance - apart from, perhaps, the second half against Wales. Oh, and the match against Italy.

No, Murrayfield was the worst of the lot.

Depressing.

I turned the match off 3/4 of the way through the game - it was just too dull!
