Help,please

Post by midget »

I have been pestered for several days by 2 lines of a hymn, but I can't remember the beginning of it. The two lines are;

"Forever singing as they shine
The hand that made us is divine"

Please will someone put me out of my misery, and tell me the beginning?

The spacious firmament on high,
With all the blue ethereal sky,
And spangled heavens, a shining frame,
Their great Original proclaim.
Forever singing, as they shine,
The hand that made us is divine.
- Joseph Addison,
Ode--The Spacious Firmament on High
"If a man speaks, and there isn't a woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"

:lol: :lol: I was going to add: "...." or Mary either, apparently", but I thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt just in case. I'm relieved to know you are just like all the rest of us :D

I'm sure you knew the words of Queenie's Latin bus poem anyway, Mary! Who could doubt it? 8)
"Baldrick, you wouldn't recognise a cunning plan if it painted itself purple, and danced naked on top of a harpsichord singing "Cunning plans are here again.""
